No pictures here, but I did want to share one of my favorite things to do AT LEAST once a month. It is no surprise to anyone that knows me that I absolutely LOVE Eastern medicine. Mainly because there’s a lot of homeopathic and herbal remedies that don’t involve a lot of crazy ingredients. If I can’t sleep, Valerian. If I am feeling anxious, Rock Rose. If I need to relax, Chamomile tea. You name it, I’ll try it.

I was never really into homeopathic remedies until November 2014. I met this amazing girl named Cindy who truly changed my life. Acupuncture, cupping, herbal supplements, acupressure; if she told me to try it, I did. And slowly but surely, I really think I am turning into the calm, focused and HAPPY individual I have always wanted to be. I spend so much time researching herbs and different remedies to help an ache I may have or to cure an oncoming cold. I NEVER get sick anymore to be honest; I take my vitamins, herbal drops, whatever it may be, and I remain healthy. Not to mention that since I have really started paying attention to vitamins and herbs…my weight, skin and mood have completely stabilized. My weight is in the normal range of BMI for my height and it fluctuates less, my skin is glowing more, and my mood is less reactionary (always working on that). One of the things I am still working on (and would love any suggestions) is my energy. I have found that my energy sometimes can be really low (I am anemic so sometimes I just can’t find the energy in me to do anything).

One of the things that truly helps me breathe better and relax is cupping. I know I’ve written a post on this before, but I really think it’s crucial I share what I think is a game changer in my life. Work has been crazy so I usually only get cupping done once a month, but when I have the time, I’ll do cupping once a week (rare). It literally has so many good benefits (I have asthma and it helps so much).

Here are a few of the MANY benefits of cupping below. If you’ve tried cupping before, I’d love to know what you think of it!

  1. Helps reduce pain (especially lower back issues)
  2. Promotes relaxation
  3. Boosts skin health
  4. Helps treat respiratory issues and colds
  5. Improves digestion
  6. Clears blockages in arteries and veins
  7. Relieves stiff muscles

Next time, before you reach for your go-to OTC pain reliever, try cupping!
