I am obsessed with everything bananas. I love banana ice cream (Big Bear’s Ben & Jerry’s Ice cream), banana milkshakes (Foster’s Freeze), banana pudding (my recipe LOL), banana cheesecake (Cheesecake Factory)–you name it! Not to mention, I love the actual fruit as well.
The one thing I have been wanting to share is my banana bread/banana cupcake recipe. I am not a very good cook, nor am I someone who can work off of remembering my own recipe…so I constantly write them down in a notebook so I never forget! I usually like to follow a recipe whenever I can.
The reason why I love this recipe so much is because it’s 1) delicious and 2) easy to follow. This banana bread recipe is super easy and although I do not have pictures, feel free to check out my “FOOD” instastory highlight for some photos/boomerangs. Check out the recipe below.

Things you will need:

5 ripe bananas

-1/4 cup melted butter

-1 egg

1/2 cup white sugar

-1/2 cup brown sugar

-1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

-1/2 teaspoon baking soda

-1/4 teaspoon salt

-(OPTIONAL) I like to add a teaspoon of vanilla extract for extra sweetness

-Preheat oven to 350.  Butter a loaf pan and set aside (I sometimes like to butter a cupcake pan so it’s easier to serve – plus the kids love their own mini banana bread)!

-DUMP EVERYTHING INTO THE BOWL AND MIX! LOL. No but really, your best bet is to mix all the dry ingredients together in one bowl…then add all of your wet ingredients to the dry mix.

-Add everything from the bowl into the buttered loaf pan.

-Bake for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.  Cool for 20 minutes and serve!
